Looking for a selection of Vegan Doughnut Glazes for your homemade doughnuts? You have found them. My maple, vanilla, chocolate or cinnamon sugar vegan doughnut glazes are a tasty final touch. Every recipe yields for about 8 donuts.
Maple Glaze
- 60g vegan butter
- 120ml pure maple syrup
- 120g sifted icing sugar
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and maple syrup together, whisking occasionally. Once the butter has melted, remove from heat and whisk in the sifted icing sugar. Set glaze aside and allow to cool and thicken.
Chocolate Glaze
- 85g vegan chocolate chips
- 30g vegan butter or coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Melt the ingredients together over low heat, stirring often. Remove from heat and immediately begin dunking the donuts.
Vanilla Sprinkle Glaze
- 60ml soy milk
- 240g sifted icing sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- sprinkles
Combine the glaze ingredients in a medium saucepan over low heat. Whisk until the glaze is smooth. Remove from heat and immediately begin dunking the donuts, one by one, into the glaze and cover with sprinkles.
Cinnamon Sugar Topping
- 200g granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 100g vegan butter, melted (optional)
Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Dip the donuts in the melted butter, then dunk into the cinnamon sugar mixture. For a healthier version, omit the vegan butter and dunk the donuts into the cinnamon sugar mix, while still warm.

I followed the maple syrup instructions with approx. Half amounts for my own variation of your baked (nonyeast) doughnuts and it turned out exquisitely. Thank you!

Would like to know if any of the icings will melt? I’m doing donuts for my daughter’s birthday party at a park. I just would want them to melt.
Fabio says
Hi Laura, the icing does set, but doesn’t try and get hard completely, but it should not melt. Hope you will enjoy the donuts.
